Copper Welding Rod Customization Factory: Types and Uses of Welding Rods
The copper welding rod customization factory stated that according to the characteristics of the welding rod skin, welding rods can be divided into two categories: acidic welding rods and alkaline welding rods.
The electrode coating containing a large amount of acidic oxides (TiO2, SiO2, etc.) is called an acidic electrode. Acid welding rod is used for both AC and DC welding, with good welding process performance, low arc and splash, good slag fluidity, easy slag removal, and beautiful weld appearance. Due to the high content of silicate, iron oxide, and titanium oxide in the coating, it has strong oxidation performance, but the mechanical properties, especially impact toughness, of the weld are poor. Suitable for general low carbon steel and low alloy structural steel with low welding strength, and widely used. Welding rod. Skin containing a large amount of basic oxide (CaO, Na2O, etc.) is called alkaline electrode. Welding rods mainly rely on the decomposition of carbonates (such as CACO3 in marble) to produce CO2 as a protective gas. In the arc column atmosphere, H serves as the protective gas. In the arc column atmosphere, the partial pressure of H is low, and at high temperatures, CAF2 of fluorite combines with H to generate hydrogen fluoride HF, thereby reducing the hydrogen content in the weld seam. Therefore, alkaline welding rods are also known as low hydrogen gas welding rods.
