Copper Welding Rod Customization Factory: Copper Welding Rod Welding Process

Introduction to copper welding rod customization factory, copper welding rod is also known as purple copper welding rod. Using pure copper wire as the welding core, the surface is coated with a welding rod composed of a low hydrogen type coating.

Copper welding process:

1. The customized copper welding rod factory stated that in order to improve welding quality, welding preheating and copper welding rod drying can preheat the welding parts to 300-350 degrees before welding, and the welding rod can be baked at 150-200 degrees for 1 hour.

2. Rod transportation method: Copper welding rods can be welded using a straight line transportation method, the faster the better. To reduce metal oxidation, within the allowable range of the weldment, increase the diameter of the welding rod and increase the welding current. When welding V-shaped or X-shaped grooves, defects such as incomplete penetration may appear at the root during welding. The main reason is that the electrode is too thick, the groove angle is small, the arc is too far from the root, the heat transfer of copper is fast, and the arc heat is insufficient. Therefore, to ensure the penetration force at the root, the groove angle or gap should be appropriately increased. When welding V-shaped grooves in multiple layers, a welding rod with a diameter of 3-4mm should be used for each layer. Afterwards, the diameter of the electrode can be increased layer by layer and lateral oscillation can be performed. When welding, the arc should be directed towards the molten pool to avoid blowing towards the side of the groove metal. The welding rod is uniformly fed along the center of the weld seam and moves towards the welding direction to prevent liquid metal and slag from flowing out of the molten pool and forming weld nodules. The electrode replacement action should be fast. During welding at high temperatures, the arc should be struck on the weld seam with a distance of 10mm from the center of the arc crater, and then returned to the original molten pool. The welding should be carried out after the molten pool is fully filled.
